Getting to Know your Raw Food Dehydrator
Sunday 23 September 2012, 10am – 2pm
£55 including tasters, lunch and recipes
A dehydrator is a marvellous appliance (about the size of the microwave that you ditched ages ago) that enables us to make crispy, crunchy raw food and to preserve fruit vegetables by slow drying.
The process also enhances and concentrates flavours so it adds another dimension to your raw food repertoire.
This is the secret to raw pizza, crackers, kale chips, cookies, raw lasagne and so much more.
If you don’t have a dehydrator then it is possible to use a fan oven as a stand-in, or even to make a DIY dehydrator… but you might find yourself inspired to buy one!
“Amazingly gorgeous food put together in a very inspiring way …thoroughly enjoyed the day in lots of ways…thanks to all! X”
Susan, July 2012
In this half day workshop you will learn the skills and tips for preparing dishes in the dehydrator. You will learn to make – and eat! -
- Raw Pizza
- Mediterranean Flax Crackers
- Sprouted Buckwheat Crackers
- irresistible Kale Chips
- Vegetable Crisps
- Dried Fruit
- Fruit leathers
- succulent Chocolate Cookies
Take home the recipes so you can make the dishes yourself at home.
Warning: the vital ingredient to dehydrating food is Patience! It IS an overnight process at the very least, more likely all day too, plus sprouting time.

“I felt the day flowed well with a great balance of information and demonstrations. You also did well in giving us tasting sessions of what you were then going to create. Your gentle nature, enthusiasm and passion are a lovely combination and personally I find you as delicious as the food
