Introduction to Raw Food
a workshop at Rachel Demuth’s Vegetarian Cookery School in Bath
Sunday 11 March 2012
£75 including tasters, lunch and recipe file
This course introduces you to Raw Food. As well as being delicious to the eye and palate, the food is easy to prepare and there are no messy saucepans to wash up!
Raw food (or ‘un-cooking’ as I like to call it) is brimming with sunshine, nutrition and hydration, bringing you radiance and good health.
This is a vegan diet and is excellent for people with food intolerances as the common culprits of wheat, dairy and refined sugar are naturally absent from the recipes.
Raw food is also excellent for weight loss and encouraging a return to your natural figure.
After an introduction to the Raw Food lifestyle, we will look at a typical day’s food starting with a Green Smoothie for breakfast. Raw sushi makes a tempting quick lunch accompanied by Almond Milk, and on the dinner menu is a Green Thai Curry with vegetable noodles followed by a raw Chocolate Cake.
We will focus on dishes that you can prepare simply at home, without the need for any special equipment.
You will taste everything made on the day and we’ll share lunch at the end of the workshop.
The class is a mixture of demonstration, hands on and group work and you will receive a recipe file at the end of the day so that you can recreate the dishes at home.
